Masih Alinejad is an Iranian journalist works for voice of America ( VOA ) Persian service.
She is also well known for her advocacy on women's rights against hijab and scarf which is know in Iran as " White Wednesday" initiated by Masih . That is, women ( mostly young girls ) remove their scarf from their head and hangs them on a stick and stand at a busy street on a show of protest against compulsory hijab . This action picked by many Iranian women and still continues to attract more women to protest against compulsory hijab policy .
According to Masih's brother , who have sent message via a short video clip to her sister Masih , the regime security forces attended at their family home and harassed and threatened their mom and dad including the brother in order to silence Masih . In the video Masih's brother said, he might be arrested and detained or their mom and dad may be called in and forced to speak against their daughter. So he warned his sister ahead about the regime's plan to put pressure on Mom and Dad including arresting him in order to silence Masih . But the brother said : if i am arrested , don't worry , i give you the permission to speak out , the only things that bothers me is that , they are trying to put family members against each other . He said ; don't worry , don't become silent, continue what you are doing , what you are doing is correct , people love you and defend their rights. ..........
