Islamic Regime in Iran and its hostility with Films & Cinema !
International Award Winning Iranian film maker Jafar Panahi's latest film " Pardeh" ( Curtain ) to Berlin Film Festival won the " Silver Bear" award . Jafar Panahi was unable to attend the festival to receive the award instead two of the film players Ms. Maryam Moqadam and Kambozia Partovi attended in the festival and received the award but after returning from Berlin - in the airport in Iran their passports were confiscated by the authorities and they were banned from traveling abroad.
Jafar Panahi is sentenced to six years imprisonment and 20 years ban on film making.Islamic regime in Iran has a hostile policy towards film ,Cinema , directors and players in general.In recent years regime put a lot of pressure on film makers and players, shut down " Khaneh Cinema " ( Cinema House ) the cinema professionals gathering place ,banned film show, increased censorship , arrested and detained film makers , banned film makers from traveling abroad , banned film makers from making films and ........
Because of these policies many film players , musicians, singers and directors have left Iran including Golshifteh Farahani Yong Iranian actress.
