More than 4000 political prisoners were executed by the Islamic Republic and buried in a mass grave in Khavaran cemetery!
This morning ( Friday Aug. 29,2008 ), the family members and friends of those who have been executed in a mass execution on 1988 in Iranian prisons by the Islamic Republic and with the direct order by Khomeini have attended in Khavaran cemetery at the South East part of Tehran to keep the memory of their loved one alive , but were banned to enter into the cemetery by the police forces and were beaten by the plain cloths or the glasses of their car were broken . As a result of this many of these people have been arrested and at present their identity are not known.

The official number of political prisoners who have been executed in mass execution are not known , but unofficial number which is prepared by the victims families and political organizations indicate that more than 4000 have been executed.
