Ayatollah Montazeri: This regime isn't Republic and it isn't Islamic!

Ayatollah Montazeri who was chosen afew years after the revolution by Khomeini as his successor but in a historical letter to Khomeini criticizing the prison officials for executing thousands of political back in September 1988 after the end of the war with Iraq and as a result losing the title and the post , in a letter to 293 journalists and political and human rights personalities told:
This regime isn't Republic and it isn't Islamic.
He said: I have given suggestion and reminded them many times for getting out of this crisis but apparently these people because of their mundane purposes (money and power) have closed their ears and eyes to the realities so much that they don't hear and don't see no more!
