Ahmad Batebi the student who became known when he carried a blood tainted T-shirt 7 years ago during student uprising in Iran and his picture was published on the cover pge of the " Economist " magazin and was arrested and was sentenced to death by the division number 13 of the supreme court and later because of the agreement of Kameneie the Islamic Republic leader the sentence was reduced to 15 years imprisonment, but now again the court wants to return the order back to the death sentence. Mr. Bahramian the lawyer of Batebi have said that when my client was sentenced to death i protested to that and later the leader reduced it to 15 years imprisonment therefore my client must spend 15 years in prison.

On Wednesday April 12 , 2006 students of Alameh University staged their biggest rally yet inside the university in protest to the newly appointed president. Apparently the new president in his speech impolitely insulted a woman student by not answering to her question and asked her to keep silent and because of this the students then left the place and made a student chain and continued their protest and requested for his apology. Another student asked of militarization of university campuses and the presence of security agents and the activity of deciplinary committee.
The students were chanting the following slogans :
The inefficient president must resign!
The appointed president , resign, resign!
An elected president is our right!
"Shariati" , come out , come out !
Ayatollah Shariati is the new appointed president.

The judiciary ordered and prevented again the annual general meeting of the Association of Writers in Iran !
Saeid Mortazavi,Tehran public prosecutor prevented the annual general gathering of the "Association of Writers in Iran" .
The Association of Writers in Iran released a communique and explained that:
The freedom loving people of Iran
On the occasion of AGM for the "Association of Writers in Iran"
for electing the new board members after four years pause,and because of necessity we gathered in a personal residential property and while majority of members were present, but the judiciary regulator together with security forces with an order from Tehran public prosecutor attended the place and prevented the session.
The Association of Writers in Iran despite of all the pressure will continue to defend the freedom of expression and democratic freedom.
