Police Prevented Iran Writers Association To Have A Gathering and Honour Ahmad Shamlou The Great Iranian Poet On His 17th Commemoration .....
According to news, police have prevented Iran Writers Association to have a gathering to honour Ahmad Shamlou the great Iranian poet on his 17th commemoration at " Imamzadeh Taher " Cemetery in Karaj city.
Regime agents have arrested at least three citizens including Bektash Abtin a board member of the association and transferred them to an unknown location.
said Reza Khandan Mahabadi the spokesperson for the Association.
According to Mr. Mahabadi , the police and agents closed the door and prevented the people to enter the cemetery and at the end dispersed them. He added,: " This year again the regime agents did not allow us to commemorate the life of Shamlou the great Iranian poet.
Mr. Mahabadi speaking to Human Rights Campaign ,said : The agents had plain cloths and it is not known if they had order from the judiciary to prevent the event . They were shouting and threatening people , they dispersed people and at the end arrested three and transferred them to an unknown location.
