News update on Ganji.Iran-emrooz online:
Recently Akbar Ganji's wife Mrs. Masumeh Shafiei expressed that her husband have been tortured in this regard an open letter was sent to Mr. Shahrudi the head of Iran's judiciary by many cultural,political and university activists and in the letter they protested to the violation on Akbar Ganji's human rights.

In another news from" ISNA " Mr. Katozian a lawyer protested against the attack on lawyers association and lawyers and demanded for the release of two prominent lawyer and human rights defenders Mr. Naser Zarafshan and Mr. Soltani.

News Indicate that " Baztab " news online which was temporarily banned ( on Wed. Oct. 12/2005) with the complaint from the supreme council of national security , have been removed and therefore Baztab can resume its activities.
