Universities are alive and students continue to fight back in Iran!

Recently Hossein Shariatmadari the managing editor of "Kayhan" newspaper and the representative of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in Kayhan , attended in Shahid Abbaspour University and Green students protested on his presence.Hossein Shariatmadari in known for his involvement in the security organizations. He is also known to be an interrogator and torturer in the Islamic Republic regime prisons.Shariatmadari is one of the strong supporter of radical islamists including Mahmoud Ahmadinejad , Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah Yazdi , Ayatollah Ahmad Janati, Ayatollah Khatami, Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi and so many others.

Union of the Islamic Students Associations in Iran : From December 7-14 a week of student's actions !

University is the vanguard of freedom and University students will chant freedom stronger than ever !

While Islamic Republic regime is busy arresting student activists and bringing its militia once again into the streets, the Union of the Islamic Students Associations in Iran released a statement calling students to take action .

Daftare Tahkime Vahdat ( or The Union of the Islamic Students Associations in Iran ) on the commemoration of "Students Day in Iran" in a statement announced that ; from December 7 - 14 students all over Iran will take action for their rights , freedom , release of all political prisoners including student leaders and keep the students struggle alive by remembering those students who have been killed by the Islamic Republic regime during holy days of "Tasua and Ashura" in Iran. The union of the Islamic Students Association in Iran asked students to start their actions with new approach to remove the reign of despotism for ever from Iran.

Bahai students are deprived from higher education in Iran !

Students critical to the Islamic regime in Iran are expelled from school. Furthermore , if they continue criticizing the regime, they receive a star beside their names or more stars if they dont listen and keep quiet while in the campus .This trend continue with threat , intimidation not only to students but also to their familys and jail, torture or death closes the game between the regime and the students.This is the tragedy which the Iranian students face in the Islamic Republic regime in Iran.

This situation reminds me of my student years in the philippines (1976-1982)under Marcos dictatorship. At that time , i, together with several other students in University of the philippines, organized a class boycotte against an increase tuition fees. My picture was taken at the protest by the university guards , and the next semester when i was enroling , i found out i'm black listed and was asked to go to the guards office and clear the situation. The chief guards threatened me if i continue the protest or if i write anything in university, i'll be expelled from university and from Philippines. What makes different between Marcos and Khamenei's regime?

I do not know how many Iranian students are currently expelled by the Islamic Republic regime in Iran . Or how many of them have stars in front of their names. One very tragic situation is the situation of Bahai students , who are deprived to enter into universities to continue their education. As a result of this disastrous policies, many Bahai students have decided to continue their education at their homes with their own teachers , but regime even does not tolerate this and have banned their education in its totality.It is needed to say that, Bahai students believe, they do not even enter into the politics of Iran.

In the news today , i red about Ashkan Zahabian a student of Ferdousi University in Mashhad city. Ashkan was a former member of the Islamic Association of the university. He is in "Matikela " prison in the city of Babol. In protest to his illegal and arbiterary arrest and detention, he started hunger strike since yesterday and his health is deteriorating . Instead of transfering him to prison clinic ,the prison officials brought him to a solitary confinement.Four months have passed since his last arrest and judiciary system is doing nothing to release him from prison which he does not deserve.

"Doesn't democracy and living in a world w/ less violent motivate you to support the student movement in Iran? won't it be also called as assisting the coup Government by Ignoring the clear violence on Iranian students ? Iranian who want western society style democracy and human rights won't believ this is happening . Is human rights important for you?Is Freedom of Expression important for you?Do you want the severity of vilolence be reduced?Do you want in another part of this wast world the torch of freedom be still kept on light? Then , dont stay silent on these crimes , violence and oppression?" Bahareh was arrested exactly three Weeks after this message and was sentenced to nine and half years in prison.The court dealing w/ the charges against this student activist was held on 26 of April at division number 28 of the court of revolution.In this court judge Moghisehei sentenced her to 7 years imprisonment for the following charges: "Gathering and colaboration against the regime " , "Insulting the president" , "Insulting the leader " and "proagating against the regime" and together w/ two years suspended sentences in total become nine and half years imprisonment.

Bahareh Hedayat is born on 27 April 1981,is a women movement and student activist ( Tehran Science university ).She is also central council member of " Daftare Tahkime Vahdat" a student organization ( she acted as spoksperson for this organization) . She was also active among the activists in " Campaign for one Million Signature". Up to now she has been arrested and detained four times for these activities.

Students of Qazvin International University have distributed thousands of leaflets and student publication on commemorating the coming of 7th of December the Student Day in Iran!
This is happening under intense security watchdogs. At present 15 students of Qazvin International University are deprived from school and education.
Adding to these are the Bahai students and God knows how many students of other universities all over Iran.

Why these students have no rights to enter into the universities or continure their education? Under what / which allegations the presidents of the universities deprived these students from entering into universities?
Where is Mr. Mohammad Javad Larijani's human rights?
Where is Mr. Mohammad Sadegh Larijani's judiciary power and justice for these students?

Reformists and pro-green movement students have released statement which says: On the night of December 7 at 9:00 pm " Alah o akbar " chanting will resume from the roof tops of the buildings and houses.

Iranian students are preparing a national protest on December 6,7 and 8 ! Because of this ,regime is scared to death !

December 7 is the national day of student in Iran. Student movement in Iran is well alive and kicking , especially on the butt of the regime which betrays to its own people and country.There are 3,000,000 million students according to the current statistic in all over Iran today . Iranian students are always in the forefront of the struggle against a regime that take its own people hostage to stay in power by increasing oppression. Students organization have released two statements this week and chose December 6,7 and 8 as the national days of protest.There is possibility that high school students will also join their brothers and sisters to protest against this regime on those days. Regime is scared to death and like all dictatorial regime around the world,trys to show off its para -military / "Basij" and "Sepah' forces in an obvious parade .
Since last year's protest by millions of Iranian against presidential election cheating and the fear of regime in losing its forces who may leave the regime by thinking about their future and therefore joining the people,Khamenei became talkative by speaking almost non stop promising the Basiji / Sepah forces with goodies or packages.Despite of security-inteligent atmosphere in Iran, today students have distributed leaflets and wrote slogan on the walls of university an indication of " University is alive ".

Regime has detained Navid Mohebi a student for supporting reformists-green movement in his weblog !

Iranian weblog writers and civil-human rights rights advocates have protested to the arrest and imprisonment of Navid Mohebi a student and weblog writer !

Navid is 18 years old and for months have been detained by Khamenei-Ahmadinejad regime.He supports the " Campaign for One Million Signature" (which strives against discrimination and for the rights and equality of women) and the reformists-Green movement.In last presidential election he has supported Mr. Mehdi Karoubi a presidential candidate.Navid had passed the national enterance examination to universities and was accepted to start his education in political science of Azad University in Tehran.He did not attended his classes due to detention.Navid was arrested on 17th of september at his home in the city of Amol by eight agents from the Ministry of Information.His parents were told to shut their mouth and not to speak to media.
