The Southern city of Bushehr released this poster preparing itself for the nation wide protest in Iran on November 4 !
| | | |Thursday, October 29, 2009
Green movement and its leaders! Its first and formost leaders are the young Iranian women and men from all walks of life!
Now that the people of Iran are preparing themselves for a nation wide protest ( November 4 )against the regime of coup d'etat, more personalities are joining the people !
In the past, following personalities were critical with the policy of the Islamic Republic among them :Ayatollah Montazeri, Ayatolah Sanei, Mohammad Khatami, Abdolah Nouri, Mehdi Karoubi and Mir Hossain Musavi ( became active after presidential election), Hassan Khomeini ( grandson of Khomeini), Alireza Beheshti ( Son of Behesti ) , Ayatolah Taheri, Ayatollah Musavi Ardabili, Musavi Khoeiniha and many more.
But one particular person is Abdolah Nouri:
Abdolah Nouri the interior minister of reformist Mohammad Khatami Government is a very well known reformist personality who was not only the interior minister and spent five years in prison but also the manager in charge of reformist Salam newspaper which was closed down . It was the closure of Salam newspaper which sparked protest by student known as " 18th 0f Tir" which shoke Iran for 6 days in 1997.
Mr. Nouri in a recent statement which has been reported widely have said: The regime must evaluate its past and see if its conduct was positive , if the regimes answer is yes it was positive , then I would suggest the regime to continue what it has been doing so far , but if the regime answer is no and it has realized in the last few months its conducts didn't have positive result, my suggestion is to change its conduct and to apologize. He added:
Regime which trys its best to silence people must know that; it can't regain the trust of the people.Although the people won't say anything up in front but will build their anger behind against the regime , this situation would become very expensive for the regime and people who feel not safe to speak up in front they will carry their opinions in their house and then they may express their thoughts out of legal or Government control channels.Regime must change its conduct before it is too late , or else it is the regime that must be replaced.

Iranian-American Scholar Prevented From Filing an Appeal
In a Blatantly Illegal Act, Authorities Denying Kian Tajbakhsh’s Right to Appeal
On 18 October, Tajbakhsh was sentenced to 15 years in prison by a lower court. According to the Iranian law, a defendant has 20 days to file an appeal. With only 10 days left for such an appeal to be filed, Judiciary officials have repeatedly refused to allow Tajbakhsh’s lawyer to file the required paperwork.
According to sources close to Tajbakhsh’s family, the officials have responded to the lawyer’s protests by telling him, “It’s our law, so we can do what we want with it.”
“The Iranian Judiciary is blatantly trampling over its own rules and regulations. In doing so, the authorities are confirming that Tajbakhsh’s detention, trial and conviction are patently politically motivated,” said Hadi Ghaemi, the Campaign’s spokesperson.
“By treating the law in this arbitrary manner, they are also demonstrating that the rule of law means nothing in Iran,” he said.
The Campaign called on the head of the Judiciary, Sadiq Larijani, to immediately review Tajbakhsh’s case and in light of serious irregularities to order an impartial appeals court to take on the case.
Tajbakhsh was prosecuted along with over a hundred other defendants during the past two months in “show trials” that human rights organizations have condemned as lacking any due process or respect for minimum international standards of justice.
Tajbakhsh’s indictment, read in the courtroom on 25 August, included the following charges, to which he was found guilty despite prosecutors having produced no supporting evidence: “Acting against national security, by membership in the internet network related to Gary Sick, a CIA agent, and other foreign elements with the purpose of urging people to riot in presidential elections; spying and connections with foreign elements against the sacred system of the Islamic Republic; accepting a consultancy position with the Soros Foundation aimed at the soft overthrow of the Islamic Republic of Iran; propaganda activities against the sacred system of the Islamic Republic by participation in illegal assemblies and causing doubt and giving impression of fraud and cheating in election results; and causing lack of public trust towards the official national organs and the ruling system by instigating rioting, mayhem, fear and terror within the society.”

Past news:
Heavy prison sentences doled out for defendants in post-election “show-trials”
(20 October 2009) The Iranian Judiciary should rescind a 15-year prison sentence issued against Kian Tajbakhsh, a dual national Iranian-American sociologist, and order an immediate review of his case and those of others on trial or already sentenced in bogus “show trials,” the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran said today.
Tajbakhsh was prosecuted along with over a hundred other defendants during the past two months in politically-motivated “show trials” that human rights organizations have condemned as lacking any due process or respect for minimum international standards of justice.
Tajbakhsh was not allowed access to an independent lawyer and had a court appointed lawyer, Houshang Azhari. On 20 October, Azhari told the Associated Press that Tajbakhsh’s sentence was “more than 12 years,” but he could not “divulge further details.” The Campaign has been informed that Tajbakhsh has been sentenced to a total of 15 years by the lower court.
Charges against Tajbakhsh reportedly include espionage, cooperation with an enemy government, and acting against national security. Similar charges have been brought by lower branches of the Revolutionary Courts against other detainees in previous years, including Roxana Saberi, an Iranian-American journalist originally sentenced to eight years. However Saberi’s appeals court threw out the lower court’s sentencing, rejecting the charge that the United States could be considered “an enemy government.”
“Tajbakhsh’s sentence is politically motivated and the Iranian justice system continues to demonstrate blatant double standards of justice. Tajbakhsh has been prosecuted for his beliefs and should be released immediately,” said Aaron Rhodes, the Campaign’s spokesperson.
The “show trials” have also resulted in lengthy sentences against political activists. Saeed Hajjarian was given a five-year suspended sentence. Shahab Tabatabai and Hedayat Aghaie, both reformist politicians, were each sentenced to five years in prison. Masoud Bastani, a journalist, received a five-year prison sentence. The Campaign believes these defendants have been prosecuted solely for their political beliefs and writings.
All of the above sentences are subject to review by an appeals court. The Campaign called on the head of the Judiciary, Hojatoleslam Sadiq Larijani, to put a stop to these unfair trials and immediately order an appeals court headed by politically non-partisan judges to review recent sentences and pending cases.

Sentences handed down against defendants accused of inciting post-electionunrest
SOURCE: Human Rights Watch
Overturn death sentences, other unfair convictions, says Human Rights Watch Post-
election protesters were denied access to lawyers (Human Rights Watch/IFEX) - New York, October 23, 2009 -
The Iranian Judiciary should immediately quash the convictions that have been handed down by the Revolutionary Court in Tehran since the end of September against defendants accused of inciting post-election unrest, Human Rights Watch said today.
The convictions all stem from unfair trials in which theaccused were denied access to lawyers. The authorities repeatedly denied the prisoners' requests for access tolawyers during pre-trial detention that in many cases lasted months, andtheir requests at their trials for lawyers of their choice were refused,Human Rights Watch said. The wife of one of the sentenced prisoners toldHuman Rights Watch that her husband was told he would not leave the prisonany time soon if he did not agree to write a confession. "Death sentences following unfair trials expose the mockery of Iran'sjudicial system," said Sarah Leah Whitson, Middle East and North Africadirector at Human Rights Watch. "Those responsible need to quash theseverdicts and sentences, and ensure that everyone detained, or put on trial, has free and regular access to a lawyer of their choosing." Scores of prominent reformist politicians, intellectuals, journalists, clerics, student leaders, and others have been put on trial before courtsthat do not meet international fair trial standards following thenationwide protests against the disputed results of Iran's elections onJune 12, 2009. Human Rights Watch also said today that it is especially concerned aboutthe condition of the Iranian-Canadian blogger Hossein Derakhshan who wasarrested in October 2008 and has been in prison ever since. With regard to the trials, on September 30, Alireza Avaie, head of theTehran Justice Department, told reporters that the Revolutionary Court hadissued preliminary verdicts against 20 political prisoners arrested afterthe presidential elections. He did not give names or the length of thesentences. Since then, authorities have announced more than 10 additionalsentences – four death sentences and others ranging from five to 12 years. All 30 of the prisoners had been held for months without access to lawyers, much of that time in solitary confinement. The authorities assigned themlawyers at their trials, but there was no time to prepare their defense andthe court-appointed lawyers have not represented them properly. This wasthe experience in all of the cases noted below, which are among the 10 mostrecent sentences and include those that were sentenced to death. On October 20, the Revolutionary Court sentenced Kian Tajbakhsh, anIranian-American scholar, to more than 12 years in prison. Authoritiesarrested Tajbakhsh, 47, on July 9 and later charged him with acting againstnational security for participating in Gulf 2000, an internet forum housedat Columbia University, and for working for the Open Society Institute. AtTajbakhsh's trial, the appointed lawyer simply called the accusationsagainst his client "untenable," but did nothing else to challenge theaccusations On October 17, the court sentenced Shahab Tabatabai, a senior member of MirMossein Mousavi's campaign, to five years in prison for "acting againstnational security." He was arrested on June 18. On October 17, Hedayat Aghaei, a prominent politician from the reformistpolitical party Kargozaran who was arrested on June 18, was sentenced tofive years in prison for "disrupting the public order by provoking peopleto riot" and "acting against national security." On October 18, the Revolutionary Court sentenced Masoud Bastani, ajournalist arrested on June 25, to six years in prison for "propagandaagainst the government" and his alleged role in the post election unrest. On October 17, the Revolutionary Court sentenced Saeed Hajjarian, 55, aprominent reformist who had been disabled in an assassination attempt in2000, to a five-year suspended sentence for allegedly incitingpost-election unrest. He was held without charge for more than 100 days andreleased on September 30. He did not receive adequate medical carethroughout his detention and trial. On October 10, the Judiciary announced that two men identified only bytheir initials, M.Z. and A.P., had been sentenced to death. Both weremembers of the Kinddam Assembly of Iran, a group that wants to restore themonarchy. "M.Z." is believed to be Mohamad Ali Zamani, who was arrestedbefore the June 12 election. His name is included in the group indictmentof post-election arrests. Another man, with the initials N.A., wassentenced to death for being a member of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization(MKO), a dissident group largely operating from exile. Article 14 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, ratified by Iran in 1975, requires that all persons facing a criminalcharge be given the right to defend themselves through legal assistance oftheir own choosing. Human Rights Watch opposes the death penalty in allcircumstances due to its inherently cruelty and irreversible nature. With regard to Derakhshan, the Iranian-Canadian blogger, a source close tohis family told Human Rights Watch that he has been in solitary confinementfor more than nine months and has been allowed to meet his family justtwice. The source said that Derakhshan had been tortured and put underenormous pressure to write false confessions that might be used against himand others in trial. Derakhshan's family has been threatened that if theyspeak out it will harm their son's case. Other sources told Human Rights Watch that the authorities have accused himof spying and that he was coerced into a confession that implicatedprominent reformists and activists arrested after the presidential electionfor purported "soft revolution" activities. They said that the IslamicRevolutionary Guards Corps intelligence service is holding him in solitaryconfinement in a section of Evin prison under their control.

Human rights, loud and louder! Are we not loud enough about the violation of human rights in Iran?
For how long we have been hearing about this issue now?
Why sometimes talks about Iran's nuclear issue disappears and all of a sudden it appears again? Is there no other things in Iran and around the world to talk to or to deal with ?
If the issue is so important, why not to continue until it is done and to get rid of it? This issue has been going on and on and on like the issue of Osama Bin Laden. When really this issues must vanish from peoples TV screen once and for all ? I'm not skeptic, i'm hopeful that the issue will be dealt with, but there are other important issues too. So don't let those regime or groups fool you or be fooled. For example whenever the world public are angry or cry loud about other issues like the violation of human rights , the Iranian regime for example instead of dealing with the issue and responding to the world and UN human rights council, it plays with the magic card of nuclear issue and rhetorics on Israel holocaust issue and others !? This is because; they have learnt how to play with you.
IRAN WATCH CANADA is against all kinds of nuclear arsenals. It strives for clean environment, peace, freedom and human rights. In facts it beleives in :
No more Hiroshima!
No more Nagazaki!
No nuclear weapon anywhere in the world including Iran!
But IRAN WATCH CANADA's concern is the human rights in Iran.
Dont let the regime in Iran play game with you.

A poster for November 4: The greatest march in history ! "Independence, Freedom and Iranian Republic" - Greatest march of the green movement!
| | | |Press Freedom Violations: Iran rank 173 out of 176 countries of the world!
It is sad to say and the world must know that ; Iran has a government which acts against its own country and people. Isn't it funny? and this Government is the ultra conservative Government of Mahmoudi Ahmadinejad.
It is also notable that the people of Iran are more educated than the government officials. That is why the officials are trying to show they have doctorate degrees and diplomas from Oxford or ..... but mostly as a result of investigation came to be fake, imagine that?! Ahmadinejad's government is nothing but a revolutionary guards government or a militia government.Adding to this is that ;Iran is a country with 70 percent of its population less than 30 years old with great knowledge of computer and information.
It is really sad to hear Iran ( formerly known as Persia up to 1935 ) with great history and with infact first human rights charter almost 2500 years ago rank 173 out of 176 countries on freedom of press.
Reporters without border (RSF) released the result of press freedom in 2009 by ranking the countries around the world. As a result Iran got the place of 173 out of 176 countries. The ranking was conducted from September 2008-September 2009.A quick look just in IRAN WATCH CANADA will give you a brief conduct of violation of human rights , freedom of expression ,media violation and violation against journalists by the government of Ahmadinejad.
After the presidential election more than 4000 Iranian protesters were arrested by the regime of coup d'etat. Many of whome were just journalist , human rights advocates, civil rights activists and reformist officials. just in the last few months since June, this government has murdered 72 of its own people for just peacefully marching in the streets protesting the election cheating. This regime also buried many in mass inside graves at night time without leting their families to say goodbye with their dear ones.No wonder why the youth are determind to bring this regime of coup d'etat down and calling everyone out on a national day of action on November 4 and December 7 and Feb.11 .
This regime has banned the foreign reporters to report from Iran and has also arrested and murdered some of them like the case of Zahra Kazemi and imprisoned them like Roxana Saberi and Maziar Bahari and expelled many of them from the country. This regime has banned the sattelite dishes to bring total media blackout to its own people who have thirst to know and learn.
In recent court hearings which was as big as the parliament of Iran, the regimes'quasi judicial system put almost hundereds of Iranian, some of them the best sons and daughters of this country on trial to show that, this regime won't like anything and anybody who try to bring Iran on a better ranking in the world among countries.
I just want to ask Mr. Sadegh Larijani the head of regime judiciary system and his brother Javad Larijani the head of human rights in the Islamic Republic that: What has Mr. Ahmad Zeidabadi, Mr. Bahman Amouei , Mr. Saharkheiz , Mr. Ghuchani , Mr. Bastani , Ms. Hengameh Shahidi and so many others do to deserve imprisonment for time and time again and again? why?
Why this regime enjoy hanging young offenders who commited crime at the age when they didn't know what they were doing? Hanging kids, puting rop around their neck while they cry and beg not to kill them, but doing so anyway and letting them die is just inhuman as inhuman as this regime and people of Iran specially the young Iranian will give a good lesson to this regime in the coming future.

CJFE welcomes news of journalist Maziar Bahari's release from prison in Iran (CJFE/IFEX) - Toronto, October 19, 2009 -
Canadian Journalists for FreeExpression (CJFE) welcomes the news on October 17, that Canadian-Iranian journalist Maziar Bahari has been released on bail after four months in anIranian jail. "We are all relieved to hear that Maziar Bahari has been released on bailand is currently at home with his family in Tehran," said CJFE ExecutiveDirector Annie Game. "Hopefully this is a sign that other journalists whocontinue to languish in jail in Iran will also be released in the nearfuture." Maziar Bahari is Newsweek's Tehran correspondent. He had been held withoutcharge in prison in Iran since June 21. While this long awaited news is extremely welcome there remain concernsthat Bahari's ability to leave the country may be restricted. This isparticularly important at the moment, when Bahari's wife, Paola Gourley, isexpecting the birth of their first child on October 26, in England. This was an important step forward however CJFE remains concerned about themore than 30 journalists and bloggers who remain in prison, arrested simplyfor exercising their right to free expression. This group includes anotherjournalist with dual Canadian and Iranian citizenship, blogger HosseinDerakhshan who was detained almost a year ago. CJFE continues to advocate for the release of Derakhshan and other journalists imprisoned in Iran. http://www.ifex.org/iran/2009/10/19/bahari_released_on_bail/

The head of judiciary power: The officials must try to make the appearance of the human rights in the Islamic Republic to become acceptable!
Mr. Sadegh Larijani the head of the judiciary power in speaking with reporters emphasized that; the officials must try to make the human rights appearance of the country to become more acceptable and trustworthy so that the international human rights organizations won't have any pretext to put pressure against Islamic Republic.
Mr. Larijani said : Islam has opinion about the human rights discourse , and with the help of Islamic scholars we must identify and strengthen the discourse of the Islamic human rights and find out how much of the western human rights and their covenants are conform with the Islamic human rights.
What is the Islamic human rights anyway?
Imagin if all religious group in the world create their own human rights code? what would happen to the world?
We are all human , why can't we have a universal human rights?
Like the one we have now.
you have written a Islamic constitution and you even dont follow that constitution. In the constitution peaceful gathering is guaranteed , but look what you did , you killed 70 young Iranian in a peaceful protest against elction fraud?

The head of the human rights headquarter in the judiciary power: Musavi was after coup d'etat!
More about the three stooges!
I dont know which one is he?
Three brothers -Ali Larijani is the head of parliament- Mohammad Sadegh is the head of judiciary power and Mohammad javad is the head of human rights in the Islamic regime.
Mohammad Javad Larijani the head of the human rights headquarter in judiciary power in speaking with Fars news told:
"Those who called themselves president of the country at 11:00pm of the night of June 12 , 2009 were after coup d'etat, but their coup d'etat was defeated" !This is what the head of the human rights headquarter said today.
As a head of human rights headquarter he said:" We should know under who's flag we are?"
In another comment he added:
"We should never stay in front of "Velayat Faghih" (he means the leader) and we should never go out of its circle".
He also said: "The Islamic Republic wants to establish a civil society based on religious thoughts and all of us must work to fatten this idea ."
This is a governmental human rights and not an NGO , so what he says is not human rights at all . The Shah of Iran had also human rights commission and her sister was the head of human rights , that was a mistake.
I'm not against Government for having a human rights commission or headquarter but to report and speak the truth about human rights and if there are violation of human rights to speak about it.
Why no one wants to learn from the history?

Mohammad Taghi Mesbay Yazdi is another criminal for crime against humanity in Iran!
Known as Ayatollah "Temsah" or crocodile.
Ultra-conservative:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad-Taqi_Mesbah-Yazdi
Time and time because of his religious position, he has ordered the young and probably uneducated blind Basiji militias to arbiterarily act for God and murder those who are calling for change in Iran. He has repeatedly( all are documented in the past daily media ) called for the physical removal of the reformists.
Here is just one such arbiterary order without any fear from judiciary power and respect for human lives:
On the evening of Wednesday September 17th, speaking in the "Imam Khomeini's Hosseinieh" in the city of Qom just two days before the "Qods Day of rally in Iran" speaking to a gathering , he asked the " friends of God,like a wounded tiger,to attack on the oppositions".
in the disclosure of part of the Ministry of Information plan in "Chain Murderings " in 1998 , few journalists including Akbar Ganji named Mohammad Taghi Mesbah Yazdi as an instigator for the murdering of innocent and the most beloved sons of the country including poet and writer Mohammad Mokhtari and Mohammad Jafar Pouyandeh.
In August, after the coup d'etat by Ahmadinejd, when many religious personalities didn't attend in Ahmadinejad's taking presidential oath ,Mesbah Yazdi told : Following the order of president is following the order of God".
In the trial of the case known as the " Kerman murdering circle " several person from one of the Basiji base in the city of Kerman who have murdered several women and men, claimed that ; with the speech of Mohammad Taghi Mesbah Yazdi they were provoked to do such an action."
In a letter Mesbah rejected the trial proceeding and he just approved his speech.
The list goes on ...
He must be brought to the International court of justice for crime against humanity.

OHCHR-UNOG 1211 Geneva 10Switzerland
Complaint:
The 10th presidential elections in Iran were not free and democratic. The Presidential Election 2009 in the Islamic Republic of Iran has clearly violated the principles of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) as well as the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Guardian Council illegally filtered the 471 candidates who had registered to stand for election, sanctioning only four candidates who were considered to be a part of the establishment. Therefore, this election did not enjoy the merits of a free and democratic election. Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won his second presidential term by virtue of a totally rigged election and the subsequent coup d’état organized and orchestrated by the similarly unrepresentative leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei. On June 12, millions of Iranians headed to the polls to elect their next president in an election with only four candidates, who had been handpicked by the Guardian Council. By all accounts, the alleged winner – Mr. Ahmadinejad - was not the one the people of Iran had voted for. Noticing that their vote had been hijacked, the people took to the streets to reclaim it. In response, the vigilante groups and the security forces brutally attacked the peaceful demonstrators and opened fire, killing tens of people and injuring many more. Many more were arrested and taken to prisons and other detention centers where they were subjected to barbaric torture, including rape of men and women as confirmed by other presidential candidates as well as by the internationally renowned human rights organization, Amnesty International. A number of them were forced to incriminate themselves in front of TV cameras by “confessing” to crimes they had not committed or to actions that are not crimes even under the unfair laws of the country. We are registering our complaint based on the inalienable civil and political rights and also based on: Article 25 of International Covenant of Civil and Political Rights: Every citizen shall have the right and the opportunity, without any of the distinctionsmentioned in Article 2 and without unreasonable restrictions:
(a) To take part in the conduct of public affairs, directly or through freely chosen representatives;
(b) To vote and to be elected at genuine periodic elections which shall be by universal and equal suffrage and shall be held by secret ballot, guaranteeing the free expression of the will of the electors;
(c) To have access, on general terms of equality, to public service in his country. We demand an investigation to be conducted into the election fraud according to the complementary protocol and section 4 of the ICCPR and the government of Iran, as the violator of the above rights, be pressed to abide by the laws and also change the discriminatory laws when necessary. Our objections are based upon:
1. Lack of freedom for peaceful activities of political parties and associations in the country.
2. Denial of the rights to be nominated and to freely elect the candidates of one’s choice, and to enjoy the pertaining rights based on the provisions of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the ICCPR, on the pretext of lacking “Practical Commitment” to Islam and absolute dominance of the Supreme Leader.
3. Prohibition of the religious minorities from holding office and assuming responsibility at the higher levels of executive, legislative and judicial branches of the government. As stipulated by Article 2 of the complementary protocol and section 4 of the ICCPR, complainants must file their complaint within Iran. Whereas the IRI Constitution has not anticipated any organizations to investigate such complaints, we submit our complaint possibly to the head of the IRI Judiciary, Ayatollah Sadegh Larijani.
With respect

Fear from future, fear from the Iranian people must at least stop them for what they do, but it seems they are not scared and feel doing so....
